Record quarterly revenue from Betsson
iGaming Business – Betsson set a new benchmark for quarterly revenue in the three months through to September 30, the online gaming operator has announced.
Revenue during the third quarter amounted to SEK782.1 million (€85.1 million/$108 million), which is up 30% on the SEK603.4 million posted in the corresponding period last year.
Operating income for the period grew from SEK152.2 million to SEK207.2 million while income before tax jumped from SEK149.7 million to SEK204.1 million.
In addition, net income increased from SEK140.9 million in Q3 of 2013 to SEK193.4 million this year, which corresponded to SEK4.20 per share, up from SEK3.25 per share in the same quarter last year.
Betsson also reported record customers deposits of SEK2.7 billion, up 35% on SEK2 billion in the third quarter of 2013.
The third-quarter results place Betsson’s revenue for the first nine months of 2014 at SEK2.2 billion, up 22% on the SEK1.8 billion posted at the same point last year.
